  KVIE's programming philosophy is to air and create programs that reflect the community back to itself. In doing so, our productions reflect our rich history, introduce us to the people and places in the present, and help us plan for the future.

In addition to our productions America's Heartland, California Heartland, Central Valley Chronicles, and California Connected, we are proud of the range of relevant, compelling and diverse programs that we've produced this year.

And, we're particularly proud that we earned 10 Emmy Awards in 2004, more than any other station in our market.
 


About the Hosts of
Breast Cancer: Strength & Courage

Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker are the in-studio hosts of Breast Cancer: Strength & Courage. Best known for their portrayal of lawyers Ann Kelsey and Stuart Markowitz on television's LA Law, they are each accomplished actors with a string of performing credits that include plays and films as well as the small screen.

Married for more than 20 years, Jill and Michael have blended personal and professional relationships, having acted together in numerous productions, some including their daughter Alison.

Their interest in this program, and breast cancer in general, is intensely personal. Jill is a breast cancer survivor, having been first diagnosed in 1986. As with many things in their live, Jill and Michael faced the challenges together. Today, they serve together as spokespersons for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, sharing a message of hope for women with breast cancer.
