In that capacity Jewett supervised over 80 school libraries, as well as the district's Professional Library and provided professional development to library personnel. One facet of Jewett’s job that she considered a highlight each year was the coordination of district-wide Young Author Program in which approximately 21,000 students from kindergarten through high school wrote and published picture books, short stories, and poetry. Her family consists of her husband Tony, 3 adult sons who live in other states, and 3 somewhat charming but mischievous cats.
